This is an excellent thread. Completely agree. https://t.co/7kEODnhT38

@MikeXHuang I'd find it interesting to read a regular cadence (newsletter?) of insights and opinions that already assume we're up to speed. Advanced level of content/research/thoughts.
There sure are a lot of "strategists" out there for metaverse and digital assets. tbh, I have zero clue what they actually do. Maybe they should all collaborate on a white paper? equity research report? It'd probably be better than pitching their "strategies" to buy side. ha
This is a brilliant acquisition by Unity. Wow. https://t.co/CT1EnGdWpf
@semil They’re not interconnected. Each are addressing siloed needs at this moment in their respective businesses.
In virtual worlds, I think people want to explore something new. I don't think people want a mirror of the "real world". If I wanted to see the real world, I'd just walk outside (haha). I might explore parts of the world in VR, but that's a one-off use case.
The best platforms in gaming will continue to build something new, exciting, and novel. Mimicking reality in virtual worlds is kind of futile, because it's actually just redundant.
Half of my inbox of newsletters has the word Metaverse. Not just in the email but also in the title.
NFTs with actual utility (playability, earning, upgradable, etc) will be the ones that last and win. Very few NFTs will become true stores of value, and those will likely be the first ones out of the gate (ie Cryptopunks).
@BillyMcFarlend If that’s true, that’s quite a bearish signal.
@jarroddicker Google sheets.
@tmphey_eth @rustlang makes sense, yea we're seeing quite a few gaming groups build with Rust.
@tmphey_eth @rustlang how many Rust devs do you think there are today? on the flip side, how many solidity devs?
@jakebrowatzke Check out @genopets and @SIPHERxyz
@cdixon And transferability.
People are building some truly incredible companies in gaming right now. It's so cool. What a time to be alive.
